The Boston Girl, the fifth and most recent novel by New York Times bestselling author Anita Diamant, tells the story of a young Jewish woman, a child of immigrants, growing up in Boston in the early twentieth century. “Diamant infuses [the Boston Girl] with humor and optimism, illuminating a wrenching period of American progress through the eyes of an irresistible heroine.” People. Ms. Diamant is also the author of the well-known novel The Red Tent and has written six non-fiction guides to contemporary Jewish life. She is the founding president of Mayyim Hayyim: Living Waters Community Mikveh, a 21st century reinvention of the ritual bath as a place exploring ancient traditions and enriching contemporary Jewish life.
