Eric Trager’s research focuses on Egyptian politics and the Muslim Brotherhood. He was in Egypt during the January 2011 revolution, and his writings have appeared in numerous publications, including theNew York Times, Wall Street Journal, Foreign Affairs, The Atlantic, and the New Republic.. He has appeared on radio and television including CNN, Fox News, C-Span and The John Batchelor Show. A 2005 Harvard graduate, Mr. Trager was a Fulbright fellow in Egypt from 2006-2007, received his M.A. in Arabic Studies from the American University in Cairo, and recently completed his Ph.D. dissertation at the University of Pennsylvania on Egyptian opposition parties under Mubarak.
