19th Annual Model Passover Seder
April 12 ~ 2:00pm - 3:30pm
Cascia Hall
Rabbi Robert Goldstein presiding
At this festive Passover ritual called the Seder, we will tell the story of the Exodus of Moses and the Israelites as they escaped from Pharaoh in ancient Egypt. RSVP required.
The holiday of Passover, which begins at sundown on Friday, April 22, 2016, is a holiday of freedom as well as a holiday of springtime. It is celebrated for seven or eight days, depending on one’s denomination (Orthodox/Conservative - 8; Reconstructionist/Reform - 7).
The highlight of Passover observance is the Seder, with its many symbolic foods and its elaborate liturgy, the Haggadah. We hope to share with you the richness of our history as children of Abraham and invite you to participate in this festive event.
